Breakfast Club Meeting 7/15/07 @ 10:30am

Hello one and all! Ready for another Breakfast Club adventure?

We are heading back to the Tin Shed Garden Cafe! We visited this fun, laid back eatery a few months ago, with three out of the four original ladies in attendance. Why are we going back, you ask? Allow me to explain.

Due to vacations, and Ashland trips and the like, we missed a meeting. Seeing as how that is totally not acceptable, we're doing a make-up session. And being that the Tin Shed has THE most amazing potato pancakes, and the missing link was Andrea, the Potato Queen, we decided to take another trip north!

We plan on meeting at 10:30am, this Sunday, July 15th. I (Amelia) will get there a little early since this tends to be a popular place, but I should tell you all, they will not seat us until all of the party is there and waiting, with self-served coffee in your hands. So please be there by 10:30.

We are also sitting outside, on the patio. This is why we're meeting a little earlier than usual, so we can take advantage of this gorgeous weather without sweltering in the ultra steamy afternoon sun. So, wear sunblock if you need to, the only thing fried at Breakfast Club should be the eggs. And potatos. And whatever else you fry for breakfast.

The Tin Shed Garden Cafe is located at:

1438 NE Alberta St
Portland, OR97211

Please RSVP with a comment so we know how many we're going to need to seat.

Can't wait to get my grub on with all of you!

Blah. They won't seat until everyone is there? I was hoping to come this time! My morning class doesn't get done until 10:45 and then I have to cross the bridge to Portland. I won't be there at 10:30 so don't wait for me, but I'll probably show up anyway and see if they can seat a party of one "somewhere near that fascinating Portland Breakfast Club." :-)

Yay Erin! I accept their seating policy only because they are super busy, and super yummy, and it would be chaos otherwise. But we'll squish you in, it can be "unexpected" that we have one more person after we're seated. Heh heh heh...

PANCAKES? Yes, they were potato. And I love me some potato. However, I am a traditionalist. Possibly a traditionalist who can't spell traditionalist. Is that right? I think so. Well I am a fine critic of the potato, not a wordologist.

For those of you who are hardcore fans of the potato, I would suggest the Tin Shed very loosely. The oblong potato goodness was sqished and seasoned. Tasty, but I didn't finish my pancakes. (Nor did AMMMELLLIOOOOO.) Enough said. And I would shank a man for most potato products.

The seating situation was silly - though I did love the super portlandy urbanite feel. And there were two very cute babies, who probably have only tasted soy and rice milk. Their Mom's were just *that* cool. Seriously, were they wearing hemp? I though I saw a 'Keep Portland Wierd' sticker on their strollers.

Go Portland.
